Iloilo City to host international business summit

Submitted by Mark Segador on July 13, 2011 – 9:38 am4 Comments

The Iloilo City Government will play host to top business executives, industry leaders and investors on its first Iloilo Business Summit to be held at Sarabia Manor Hotel this coming July 29th, Friday. Mayor Jed Partick Mabilog and the Trade Investment and Promotions Board stated that the city is very well equipped and ready to absorb bigtime businesses and investments as the city is geared towards the next important economic hub, not only in the Visayas, but in the entire country.

Furthermore, Mayor Mabilog indicated that business leader, Manuel V. Pangilinan, will be the keynote speaker of the summit. Manuel V. Pangilinan is the chairman of several major industry players such as the First Pacific Company Ltd, PLDT, and Meralco to name a few. Expected to grace the summit are hundreds of business leaders in the country and abroad. These includes Ambassador Jesus Tambunting of the Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation, Mr. Oscar Lopez of the Lopez Group of Companies, US-based Filipina businesswoman Loida Nicolas Lewis, and Edgar Injap Sia of Mang Inasal, among others.

Mayor Mabilog also said that the summit will highlight the business potential of the city and its contribution to national economic growth.

Here’s a promotional video of the Iloilo City from youtube. Video compliments of calgary888 , Migo Oskie and the City Mayor’s office.

To the Iloilo City Government, I wish them all the success in presenting Iloilo City as the next big thing and in attracting major investments in our city.

yeah, it’s all over the place. there is heavy promotion at the streets of the city, but i don’t know how the city government is advertising this event at other places like in manila, or even abroad, or targeting their preferred business investors or executives
