This April, all roads lead to Leganes for its annual celebration of faith and religion. Dubbed as Western Visayas’ Mecca because of its intense spirituality and devotion, Leganes will once again showcase their thanksgiving to the town’s blessing through a myriad of activities and festivities. A religious fiesta, but surely everyone can fit in to this exciting event.

What is Saad Festival: Panaad Kay San Vicente Ferrer?

Saad, a Hiligaynon term for “vow”, depicts Leganesnons’ intense spirituality and religious faith. The festival is also a celebration of thanksgiving for the blessings received from God through the intercession of St. Vincent Ferrer, the town’s patron. The festival is primarily a praise and worship presentation that combines Leganes’ folktale with contemporary way of worship to choreographed steps.
