35th National Milo Marathon Elimination at Bacolod City

Bacolod City Milo MarathonBacolod City will once again host an elimination round of the National Milo Marathon.

The last time the city participated in such event was last 2009.

This year, around 8000 runners are expected to flock the event on September 25 making it the biggest running or sports tourism event in the city.

The marathon aims to promote athletecism, physical activity and sportmanship among participants while fulfilling its goal of providing running shoes to thousands of aspiring but needy children around the country.

In Bacolod City alone, the following are the beneficiaries of the Milo Shoe Drive:
1. Antipuluan Elementary School
2. Handumanan Elementary School
3. Bata National High School
4. Ramonito Maravilla Sr. High School
5. Sum-ag Elementary School

Bacolold City Mayor Evelio Leonardia and City Councilors Al Victor Espino and Carl Lopez are also expected to join in as competitors in the event. The Bacolod City mayor together with Vice Mayor Jude Thaddeus Sayson are appointed honorary chairmen while Mr. Franklin Echevarria is the Milo Race Director.

Registration fees and requirements are as follows:
3K and 5K Distances: Php 100.00 and 20g sachet of Milo
10k and 21K Distances: Php 500.00 and 20g sachet of Milo
