Tribu Aninipay of Bgy Don Estenban, Lapuz was founded by the Carado Family in 2000. The tribe name was taken from a kind of grass which grows abundantly in a rock and mountainous area in Panay where a certain tribe inhabits. The tribesmen then identifed themselves as Tribu Aninipay because of the thick growth of grass in their area.
The tribe bagged Best Discipline in 2000, Most Colorful in 2001-2002, Best Headress in 2003, Most Unique in 2004, and Best Costume in 2005.
They are managed by Rainier Carado, choreographer Lonlle Carado, and Norby Ilaud, and musical director Joseph Rhan Carado.
The tribe is composed of 48 Ati Warriors, 20 back-up dancers, 40 drummers, and 20 support staff.
