Plazuela De Iloilo Promenade

Iloilo has become an architectural melting pot because of ambitious projects being put forth by its visionary entrepreneurs. Truly inspiring masterpiece structures are sprouting at the city and one of these is Plazuela De Iloilo at Mandurriao District along Benigno Aquino Diversion Road. Plazuela De Iloilo boasts its Spanish and Italian influenced design mixed with unmistakable Ilonggo touch.

Built by the Florete Land Inc., the real estate development company of Iloilo’s media mogul, Dr. Rogelio Florete, Plazuela De Iloilo is envisioned to be a world-class business hub with 24/7 security and operating capacity. The second floor of the structure is reserved for BPO companies, while the ground area is now occupied by restaurants, specialty shops and other establishments. This mixed use of BPO and commercial purposes enables the Plazuela to operate in a 24/7 capacity as constant stream of customers will flock the area.

Plazuela De Iloilo

Plazuela De Iloilo, designed by Palafox & Associates, has Spanish and Italian design influence as seen on its use arcaded hallways, intricate facade and use of grand staircases. Stand-out colors such as beige, ochre yellow, peach and white provide a lively tinge on the structure thus creating a curious and dynamic family atmosphere for visitors. Visitors can stroll its spacious pedestrian promenade at Plaza Mayor or hang-out at its beautifully manicured gardens. An iconic grand staircase with the image of the Virgin Mary on top greets visitors at its Rotonda.

This use of Spanish and European-Italian concept provides a fresh and new perspective at designing structures here at Iloilo City. Palafox & Associates combined pragmatism, aesthetics and Iloilo’s Hispanic links.

Plaza Mayor, located inside the property, is a spacious area reserved for exhibits, concerts, weddings, parties, and other public events. Reservations can be made at the administration office located along Calle Florete.

Elevated at stunning 2.5 meters from street level, Plazuela De Iloilo is touted as “flood free” (given the flooding the city suffered three years ago due to Typhoon Frank).
